Abstract
The article considers the problem of task prioritization for the health care system in Russia, the existing international experience on the subject is analyzed. Author formulates his vision of the most important directions of development of public health, the need for the introduction of systems for evaluating the quality of care, the development of standards of care on the principles of evidence-based medicine.
